A local AI operator that waits for your clap

Serra runs on your own machine. Two claps wake her. She opens the applications you have allowed, arranges your windows, answers in her own voice — and writes down everything she did.

What she can be asked to do

A fixed list of actions, not open-ended instructions.

Open FB Software ERP

ready

Brings up the ERP in the browser. The address is on the allowlist, so nothing else can be opened in its place.

Open webmail

ready

Opens the mail client so the morning routine starts without hunting for a tab.

Play the greeting

local wav

Speaks a reply from a file already on the machine. Nothing is generated or fetched at the moment of use.

Arrange windows

own only

Tidies the windows she opened herself. She will not move anything that belongs to another application.

Open Cursor

not installed

Listed but unavailable on this machine. She reports it rather than trying an alternative.

Open Spotify

disabled

Deliberately switched off. Anything not enabled is refused, even when the action exists.

“I could not map that to an allowed action.”

What she says instead of guessing

What she does

Four things that make her different

Nothing is recorded

Audio is measured for loudness only. No recording is ever written to disk, and there is no transcript.

No network listeners

She opens no ports and runs no server. There is nothing for anyone outside to connect to.

Only what you allow

Actions and web addresses come from a list you write. Anything not on it is refused rather than guessed at.

Everything is written down

Each action is appended to a dated log file you can read afterwards, in plain text.

How it works

Clap to log, in four steps

The whole loop runs on your machine. Nothing leaves it.

  1. She hears two claps

Audio is watched for loudness only. A clap has to cross 0.040 rms, and there is a five second cooldown so a door closing does not set her off twice.

  2. She matches it to an allowed action

The request is checked against the list. If nothing matches, she says so rather than improvising something close.

  3. She does it, within her limits

She runs as a normal user, opens only allowlisted addresses, and moves only the windows she opened herself.

  4. She writes it down

The action, the time and the result go into a dated log. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Q stops everything at any point.

Where she is today

Honest about what is not built yet

  • Records inside the ERP

She can open FB Software ERP. She cannot yet create or edit anything inside it.

  • Browser workflows

Opening a page is not the same as working inside one. That comes later.

  • Social media accounts

Depends on interfaces, permissions and platform rules. We will not claim it before it exists.

Demo

What it is like to work with Serra

A replay of the real interaction pattern: two claps wake her, she matches what you ask against the actions you have allowed, she asks before anything that matters, and she writes it all down. Including the part where she refuses.
