Cookie Policy

This site sets almost no cookies. Here is exactly which ones exist, which we deliberately avoid, and how to control them.

What cookies we use

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses very few.

Necessary

WordPress sets cookies when someone logs in to the administration area. If you are only reading the site, these do not apply to you.

Third-party cookies from embedded content

Two kinds of embedded content on this site come from Google. Pages with tutorial videos load the YouTube player, and the contact page loads a Google Maps panel showing our office. Both may set Google cookies and receive your IP address when they load. We do not control those cookies; they are governed by Google’s own policy. You can block third-party cookies in your browser.

Spam protection

Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which decides whether a submission is likely to be automated. To score behaviour it loads a Google script and may set Google cookies while you browse the site. It runs silently — there is nothing to click — and it is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms. We use it only to keep spam out of our inbox, and we do not use its data for anything else.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit, to see which pages people read and where they arrived from. It sets Google cookies and records your IP address, which Google may process outside your country. We use it to decide what to write next — not to identify individuals, and not for advertising.

You can opt out entirely with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. The site works normally either way.

What we do not do

  • We do not run advertising cookies.
  • We do not use cross-site tracking pixels for advertising.
  • We do not sell or share browsing data.
  • We do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors.

Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies by category. Blocking third-party cookies will not break this site; embedded videos may stop working.

Changes

If we add analytics or any cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
