Why WordPress?
About Course
In the early days of the internet, French programmer Michel Valdrighi developed b2/Cafelog in 2001. The platform quickly gained popularity among bloggers, but it lacked some essential features.
In 2003, Matt Mullenweg recognized the potential of b2/Cafelog and joined the project. Collaborating with Valdrighi, they developed and improved the platform. This partnership led to the birth of WordPress, with its first version released in May 2003.
Thanks to its user-friendly interface, customization options, and plugin support, WordPress grew rapidly and built a strong community. Over the years, it evolved into a flexible and scalable content management system, appealing to a wide range of users from businesses to individuals.
Today, WordPress powers over 40% of websites worldwide and continues to revolutionize digital publishing.
