Episode 1 – The Perfect WordPress Installation

Welcome to the FB Software AI WordPress Master Class.

In this series, I’ll show you exactly how I build every WordPress website from scratch. This is the same workflow I use for client projects, business websites, and my own personal projects.

A strong website starts with a clean and secure foundation. Before we begin designing anything, we need to prepare WordPress correctly.

Today’s Lesson

In this first episode, we will cover:

  1. Install WordPress
  2. Remove the default plugins
  3. Improve security using Admin and Site Enhancements
  4. Change the default wp-admin login URL
  5. Create the first backup
  6. Install your WordPress theme
  7. Remove unused themes
  8. Create another backup
  9. Create the Home Page
  10. Set the Home Page as the front page
  11. Create the Blog Page
  12. Build and assign the navigation menu
  13. Create a final backup before moving to the next stage

The Plugins Used in Phase 1

For this lesson, we only need two plugins:

  • WPvivid Backup Plugin
  • Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE)

These plugins are essential for creating a secure and reliable WordPress installation.

Although both plugins include many advanced features, in this course we’ll only focus on the settings that are important for building a professional website from the very beginning.

Good Practice

One of the most important habits of a professional WordPress developer is keeping the dashboard clean.

As soon as WordPress is installed, I remove unnecessary notifications, unused plugins, and anything that doesn’t belong. Starting with a clean workspace makes every project easier to manage and helps prevent problems later.

Remember:

A great website doesn’t start with design—it starts with a clean, secure, and organized installation.

Let’s begin.
